We are Electric Sheep, the global AI training and hacking initiative for animal, planet and policy advocates and programmers who want to make the greatest social impact through their work.
We offer an entrypoint to AI for impact for every experience level through our cornerstone programs: Fundamentals,Frontiers, Scholars and Pioneers.
The Electric Sheep hybrid courses are our entry-level programs: a 12 week mentored learning course (8 weeks cohort learning followed by 4-week project sprint). It involves online weekly cohort sessions (1.5 hrs), offline prep (3 hrs). It facilitates original project contributions from every participant.
There are two tracks and weekly learning topics depend on which track is chosen.
Fundamentals is for those who wish to focus on animal welfare risk-radar of animal suffering caused by AI, debates on precision livestock farming, policy change, your career in animals/AI.
Frontiers is for those more advanced participants who wish to focus on complex AI-related welfare issues.
Electric Sheep Scholars is targetted at researchers: we work directly with some of the world's most prestigious universities and students to support research into neglected areas around AI for welfare maximalisation and tackling suffering risks.
Electric Sheep Pioneers is our coding for impact program: we curate hackathon events such as our pioneering Code for Compassion series in Silicon Valley and other challenges with highly-skilled like-minded folks in Silicon Valley and beyond who seek to turn their skills to pioneering projects. .
